The library at Steamboat Springs High School is busy today for Free Application Day.
Counselors are on hand to help seniors who are filling out the Common App for college applications because today is the day that seniors can apply to any Colorado colleges or universities for free.

“This is an exciting time for all students in Colorado, specifically Steamboat Springs High School. Lots of kids are in here. The excitement is great.”
Each time a student applies for a college today, they ring a buzzer and get a raffle ticket for a chance to win some local prizes donated by businesses in the community.
Thursday, Oct. 19, is the last day for Colorado students to apply for free to in-state schools.
Seniors at Soroco High School in Oak Creek gathered on Tuesday to fill out their Common App for colleges, and discuss other options after graduation.
