There’s “Snowplace Like Home.” That’s the theme of the 2024 Steamboat Springs Winter Carnival, which is happening for the 111th year. Kids under 18 are invited to create the drawing on the button to be used during the upcoming Winter Carnival.

It needs to be in a circle that fills a regular sized piece of paper. SSWSC has a few other requirements, which are below.

The deadline to submit artwork is Nov. 11.

The 111th Steamboat Springs Winter Carnival is Feb. 7-11, 2024.

111th Steamboat Springs Winter Carnival Button Artwork Contest

SSWSC invites young artists to create the button for this year’s theme, Snowplace Like Home

 

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo. – Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club has launched the annual Button Artwork Contest for the 111th Steamboat Springs Winter Carnival. Young artists, 18 years old and under, are invited to create the button for the 111th Steamboat Springs Winter Carnival theme – Snowplace Like Home. The deadline to submit artwork is November 11, 2023.

The artwork must be in a circle that fills an 8.5” x 11” piece of paper. Any medium may be used that translates well onto a flat button. Do not include text with themes and dates on the artwork. The artwork must be scanned or photographed and uploaded to the Google Form by November 11, 2023. Artists must be 18 years or younger and enrolled in a local school or home-schooled. Submitting artists give SSWSC the right to display and use any artwork submitted, as well as the artist’s name and age, for any digital or print publications, including future use. All entries must be original artwork. The winning artist will be notified at the beginning of December. Artwork may be used on 111th Steamboat Springs Winter Carnival banners, posters, websites, and digital/print publications.

The 111th Steamboat Springs Winter Carnival will take place February 7-11, 2024. This year’s theme is Snowplace Like Home. Hosted by Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club, this community event has showcased the rich ski heritage and the western tradition of Ski Town USA, celebrating athleticism and winter for over a century.
