Craig Police Department held their Christmas Party and Recognition Dinner over the weekend and recognized employees on their achievements for the year and dedication to the community.
Here are those who were honored, from Craig Police Chief Mike Cochran.
Officer of the Year – Officer Daniel Molina – Daniel started with the Craig Police Department as a recruit in the Flat Rock Police Academy in January of 2022.
Supervisor of the Year – Sergeant Brian Soper – Brian started with the Craig Police Department in May of 1998. He left the police department May of 2019 for a job with Colowyo Mine When he left he was a Detective Sergeant. He then returned in July 2021 as a Patrol Sergeant.
Employee of the Year – Blake Abdella (Property and Evidence Tech) – Blake currently handles evidence/property for both the Craig Police Department and Moffat County Sheriff’s Office. Blake started with the Police Department in 2007 and worked as a Community Service Officer for approximately six months prior to becoming the property/evidence Technician. Blake had been a certified officer for 12 years prior to coming to the Craig Police Department.
The police department also wanted to thank the Moffat County Sheriff’s Office for covering so all of their officers could attend.
