The tubing hill at Howelsen Hill is now open for the season. Tubing is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day, except for Christmas Day. Tubing tickets are at the Tube Howelsen Gazebo in the main parking lot, or at the ticket office inside the lodge.

Tube Howelsen Opens For Second Season
Course & Covered Lift Unleash Gliding Adventure at Historic Hill
STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, COLORADO-December 18, 2023-It’s time to slide! Tube Howelsen is open for the season and brings tubing thrills to the slopes of Steamboat Springs’ hometown ski hill, Howelsen Hill.
“We had a great inaugural year last winter and are so excited to be back on the track for another winter of family fun!” shushed Howelsen Hill Ski & Rodeo Manager Brad Setter. “Tubing at the historic hill was so popular that we highly recommend making reservations this season, so you don’t miss out on all the fun.”
Tube Howelsen is located below Mile Run and to the right of Pony Land, the beginner area in the base area. Online pre-purchased reservations will check in at the Tube Howelsen Gazebo just steps from the main parking lot. All others should head to the ticket office by the lodge.
Tubers enjoy the covered carpet lift including a kaleidoscope show of colored lights as they reach the top of the course. The course provides rollers, banks and a left dog leg swing which empties out in the outfield of the ballpark.
Tubing will be available daily from 11am to 7pm with the last available one-hour time slot at 6pm. Prices for one rider during the one-hour time slot is $30. The course is closed daily between 2pm to 3pm for grooming as well as on Christmas Day, Dec. 25.
All riders must be 36”/91cm. All riders including children must have an individual ticket and Howelsen tube. Arrive 15 minutes prior to scheduled time slot for check-in. Time slots are on the hour and cannot be modified to accommodate late arrivals. A full list of rules can be found at steamboatsprings.net/tube.
