The Yampa Ripple Effect is now happening. It’s a way for local businesses to let their customers round-up to the next dollar and that money goes to support and protect the Yampa River. It is Ag Appreciation Week. In Craig, stop by Victory Motors from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. today for the AgRally. This is a nationally broadcast farm show event that brings farmers and ranchers together locally. It’s broadcast live on RFD-TV and The Cowboy Channel. Victory Motors is one of eight dealerships in the United States to host AgRally.

 

Integrated Community has announced that Renzo Walton has been named the new Immigration Director at Integrated Community. The group is also in need of volunteers who can help teach English. No experience necessary to become a tutor.  Interest Form

 

Steamboat Springs High School is hosting a Trade Fair on Wednesday, March 27. They are looking for members of the community to speak to the students about different careers, especially those that might be an alternative to college. Here’s Jennifer Fredrick from the high school, who is organizing the event.

“We would love to have plumbers, electricians, aestheticians, the fire department will be here, police department, construction, automotive. We’ll have Wagner equipment here. Also massage therapists, radiology.”

A Western Slope Bipartisan Virtual Town Hall is from 5-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 19. Twelve Western Slope legislators will be updating their work at the State Capitol so far this session and answering questions. A link to register is on our website.

Also tonight, Steamboat Springs City Council meets at 5 p.m.

 

Routt County Building Department is offering a Geothermal and Heat Pump Class from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, March 19. It is in the Routt County Commissioners room at the historic Routt County Courthouse in downtown Steamboat Springs. The class will have important information for local General Contractors, Designers and consultants.

Tonight are auditions for the 42nd annual Cabaret. This is for actors, singers, and dancers. Auditions start at 6 p.m. at the Depot Art Center tonight. This year’s theme is “Glitter and the Grit.” Cabaret is May 1-4. For more information, email cabaretdirectors@gmail.com
