Work continues this week on Hwy 40/Lincoln Ave. in downtown Steamboat Springs and there will be delays, but those should end in time for Memorial Day weekend. Lincoln Ave. eastbound between 3rd and 4th will be down to one lane today, to saw cut for Monday’s concrete work. Project Manager Cole rising says there is rain in the forecast so plans may change. They’re hoping NOT to have a lane closed during rush hour for eastbound traffic on Tuesday or Wednesday, but if the concrete on Monday is not at strength, then the lane will have to stay closed.

Remember, with the lane closures, ZIPPER MERGE, just like a lift line. Use both lanes to the front of the merge point and then take turns.

Thank you to all who helped with Routt County Clean-up Day, and with the Highway Clean-up Day in Yampa over the weekend. There have been a lot of orange trash bags along the road, ready for pickup.

Dancing with the Stars raised over $200K for CASA Saturday night. The most money raised was from Jorge Quirch, followed by Paul Franklin. District Judge Michael O’Hara started off the evening telling how important CASA is to youth who need it in the court system, in the 14th Judicial District which is Routt, Moffat, and Grand counties.
