Concrete work along Hwy 40 continues in downtown Steamboat Springs. One eastbound lane along Lincoln Ave. downtown will be closed Tuesday. It’s so CDOT work crews can pour concrete. The lane will be closed through the night.
However, Project Manager Cole Rising says there is a high chance they could get rained out today. The forecast calls for a 70% chance of precipitation. Showers and thunderstorms continue Tuesday night, and it will be cold, with a low of about 28 degrees, so cover your new flowers and plants.
And remember, when a lane is closed, ZIPPER MERGE, just like you would do in a lift line. Use both lanes to the merge point and then take turns.
Tomorrow morning, the parking lot in the Historic Routt County Courthouse will be closed from 5:30-10:30 a.m. for asphalt crack sealing. All cars must be out of the parking lot tomorrow morning. It will open back up as soon as the work is finished.

The Craig Rotary Club is looking for sponsors of the American Flags that line Victory Way and Yampa Avenue in Craig. There are about 250 flags. Here’s Randy Looper with Craig Rotary.
“The goal is to make Craig look great during the holidays, so by putting flags from one end to the east of town to the west end of town, every 90 feet, lining Victory Way, it’s just amazing to see and great for Craig and people love it.”
It’s $85 per flag per year. This is the 18th year for the flags, which are on display on Victory Way throughout the holidays in summer and fall. Reach out to the Craig Rotary Club through their website or Facebook page, or email CraigRotaryClub@gmail.com
