Agenda

The days are getting chillier so it’s time to prepare your house for winter heating to stay safe and conserve energy. Atmos Energy has some suggestions. Here’s Kurtis Paradiso with Atmos Energy.

“Inspecting your meter at your home, making sure that there’s no branches or any type of debris around the meter. Checking the vents in your home to make sure they’re not plugged. There’s a list if you visit our website at Atmos Energy .com”

Atmos also suggests include lowering your thermostat to 68 degrees during the day and 58 degrees when you aren’t home. Reduce your shower time. Use the washer, dryer, and dishwasher only when fully loaded, and close your fireplace damper unless you’re using it, so warm air doesn’t escape from the chimney.

Atmos Energy also has rebates for high-efficiency natural gas appliances, energy-saving devices, and weatherization upgrades for Colorado customers.
