The Creek View Grill restaurant in Hayden caught fire early Wednesday morning.
“So sad, so surprised when they called me at 4 o’clock in the morning. I never thought this would be happening to me, you know.”
That’s owner Maritza Juandedios.

West Routt Fire in Hayden got the call at about 3:30 a.m. Here is Assistant Fire Chief Brad Parrot.
“When we arrived on scene, there was some fire coming from the eaves on the south side of the structure. We were able to make a quick attack on the fire, knock the fire down, and then just move into overhaul on the structure.”
A fire investigator with the state of Colorado will be doing an investigation as to the cause. Hayden Police reports that no crime is suspected.
Sandy Messing is a loyal customer and she says Creek View Grill will reopen as early as next week, but with a food truck.
“So Maritza is planning on getting things situated this weekend. We are hoping to be possibly open come Monday, maybe early next week, with a possible food truck and we will move forward from there.”
Maritza says the restaurant will need a new roof and new kitchen, at least.
The Creek View Grill is at 825 W. Jefferson Ave. in Hayden, on the west side of town.
