Stacie Fain is retiring as Airport Manager at the Steamboat Springs Airport – Bob Adams Field. She says it has been an honor and a privilege to serve as airport manager.
“The thing I’m going to miss the most is the team here, the team at the airport and all the city employees that I’ve interacted with. The city just has an amazing group of people working for them. And that’s what I’ll miss the most.”
Stacie Fain has been the airport manager in Steamboat Springs for eight years, after serving 27 years in the Coast Guard.
Steamboat Springs Airport – Bob Adams Field is a General Aviation Airport, which means it serves everything that is not scheduled, or military, although some military operations have landed there before. There are over 12,000 operations per year as an FBO which is Fixed Base Operation. Fain says the airport also serves people like firefighters, medevacs, people learning to fly, corporate and business operations, and some second homeowners. The airport is 2.5 miles north of downtown Steamboat Springs on Elk River Road.
Fain’s last day as Airport Manager will be Nov. 24. She will be staying in the area after her retirement.
