Tim McGraw will become the first artist to perform at the ‘Field of Dreams’ in Dyersville, Iowa – the focus of Kevin Costner’s 1989 movie of the same name.

The Field of Dreams Movie Site announced it will host the concert this summer headlined by McGraw, scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 30.  According to a news release, the event will take place on the field at the movie site and will also honor MLB player Tug McGraw, Tim’s father,  who died in 2004.  As it turns out, Aug. 30, 2025 would have been Tug’s 81st birthday.

The field that was used for the movie is not the same one MLB used, although they were right next to one another, and anyone with a ticket to McGraw’s concert will have access to the movie site field.
