The Steamboat Springs Pro Rodeo series starts this weekend. It’s every Friday and Saturday night through Aug. 23 at the rodeo grounds at Howelsen Hill. Here’s Brent Romick with more on this summer’s rodeo fun. Video with Brent Romick
“We have the best in special entertainment. Many of the best bullfighters, rodeo clowns, specialty acts that are in our business will be here in Steamboat Springs. We’ll have mini broncs. And every single weekend, we have the calf scramble and the ram scramble. You bring your children and you’re guaranteed to be entered.”

This professional rodeo series features bull riding, bronco riding, roping, steer wrestling, cowgirl barrel racing, and kids’ events. It’s every Friday and Saturday night throughout the summer. Plus, there’s BBQ, beer and snacks.
Gates open at 5:30. The BBQ and music starts at 6 p.m. and the rodeo gets going at 7:30.

No dogs or drones allowed at the rodeo.
The Romick Rodeo Arena is located just a couple of blocks from downtown at 5th Street and Howelsen Parkway in the Howelsen Hill sports complex. There is parking on the rodeo grounds and nearby. If you want to avoid the crowd after the rodeo ends, park downtown and walk to the rodeo arena. Tickets are available on the Steamboat Springs Pro Rodeo website and downtown at FM Light & Sons.
