
Moffat County deputies responded to a stabbing on Monday night in the 500 block of Yampa Avenue in Craig. When officers arrived on the scene they found a female with multiple stab wounds. Police have made an arrest, 27- year old Jack Thomas Trapp, has been taken into custody. (below) He is facing multiple felony charges in what police are describing as a random attack. Trapp’s court hearing is set for 1:15 on July 30th in Moffat County.
The City of Steamboat Springs and the group “Community Builders,” is hosting a community workshop at 5:30 p.m. today (Wednesday, July 23). The discussion is about community solutions for Brown Ranch, and who needs housing. New housing data will be discussed. Meeting organizers want to hear how housing impacts you, what types of homes are in greatest demand, and who would Brown Ranch best serve. There will be food, childcare, and Spanish-English interpretation.

The Routt County Wildfire Mitigation Council is hosting a third Wildfire Outreach Meeting tonight. It’s at South Routt Community Center in Oak Creek and it starts at 6:15. The meeting will be to learn about programs the Routt County Wildfire Mitigation Council can offer to help you reduce your wildfire risk. The Town Challenge Mountain Bike series continues tonight with the Cow Creek Classic on Emerald Mountain. It starts from the Cow Creek Trailhead. There are Junior and Adult divisions. Race-day registration is available starting at 4 p.m. More information is at TownChallenge.com
