The City of Steamboat Springs is reminding residents and visitors about parking correctly on parts of Yampa Street. The angled parking spaces are for back-in parking. It’s for the safety of cyclists and pedestrians, and those in vehicles on Yampa. Back-in parking allows drivers to pull out into traffic with a clear view of cyclists and oncoming cars, instead of backing out blindly into a busy travel lane.
