The Jonas Brothers, Bon Jovi keyboardist (and Tony-winning composer) David Bryan, The Isley Brothers, and Michael Uslan (producer or co-producer of many Batman movies) are the four New Jersey Hall of Fame inductees this year in the Performing Arts & Entertainment category.

The 17th annual New Jersey Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be held Nov. 21 at The Rink at The Arena at American Dream in East Rutherford, New Jersey, which is where the New Jersey Hall of Fame is located. Danny DeVito tentatively scheduled to host.

Among those nominated but not chosen for induction this year were Uncle Floyd, Savion Glover, Brooke Shields, Celeste Holm, Kirsten Dunst, Marilyn McCoo, James L. Brooks and Amiri Baraka.

NJHOF Chairman Jon F. Hanson said in a statement: T“As we approach the first anniversary of our permanent home at American Dream, this incoming class reflects the very best of New Jersey’s talent, grit, and influence. These inductees have made an extraordinary impact in their respective fields and continue to inspire generations.”

  • Bryan was born David Rashbaum in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, and was raised in Edison, New Jersey. In addition to being a founding member of Bon Jovi, he is a Tony Award winner for writing the music and co-writing the lyrics to the 2009 Broadway musical Memphis. He was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame with Bon Jovi in 2018.
  • The Isley Brothers — whose history dates back to the 1950s, and whose hits include “Shout,” “Twist and Shout,” “This Old Heart of Mine (Is Weak for You)” and “It’s Your Thing” — are currently led by original member Ronald Isley, 84; and Ernie Isley, 73, who became a full-time band member in 1973. Brothers Vernon, Rudolph, Marvin and O’Kelly Isley Jr. are all deceased, as is Rudolph’s brother-in-law Chris Jasper, who joined with Ernie and Marvin in ’73.
