Happy Halloween! Watch for ghosts and goblins all over Northwest Colorado.

The Halloween Stroll is in Downtown Steamboat Springs from 5-7 p.m. tonight. Lincoln Avenue will close at 2 p.m. this afternoon for the Halloween Stroll so please plan accordingly to get downtown for the fun.
Some school bus routes will be running a little late due to the early closure and families have been notified.

Stop by The Veterans Center, too, at 924 Lincoln Ave. There will be a display from SCREAMBOAT and the veterans will be giving out candy with coffee, hot chocolate and apple cider, inside along with Halloween movies for kids.

Old Town Steamboat Springs is inviting trick-or-treaters in the neighborhood, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1. If your house is participating, leave the light on.
Trick or Treat Street in Downtown Craig is tonight from 4-6 p.m.

The 2nd annual Halloween Carnival is at Centennial Mall in Craig, from 4-9 p.m.

Victory Motors in Craig presents Trunk or Treat, from 4-6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31. There’s also a costume contest for the best dressed kids and pets.

The Haven in Hayden is inviting trick-or-treaters to stop by from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Halloween. The Haven is at 300 S. Shelton Lane.

Dia de Los Muertos is a celebration of life and remembrance for loved ones who are no longer here. There are community altars set up in Craig and in Steamboat Springs today through Sunday.
The Steamboat Springs alter is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Oct. 30-Nov. 2, in Library Hall at Bud Werner Memorial Library. A candle lighting ceremony is at 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1. A remembering and resilience is at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2.
In Craig, the altar is available from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 31-Nov. 2, at the Craig Chamber of Commerce Building. A candle lighting ceremony is at noon on Sunday, Nov. 2.

As of Saturday, Nov. 1, no parking is allowed on Steamboat Springs city streets overnight, and during specific hours. This is so the snowplow drivers can do their job and remove snow from city streets. The restrictions run from November 1 to April 30. There is also a city-wide rule against parking within 5 feet of a driveway or 15 feet of a fire hydrant.

Winter parking restrictions (November 1 – April 30)
- Most city streets: No parking from 2 a.m. to 8 a.m.
- Lincoln Avenue: No parking from 3 a.m. to 6 a.m.
- Stockbridge Transit Center: No parking from 2:30 a.m. to 6 a.m.
- Ski Time Square: No parking from 3 a.m. to 6 a.m.
- Anglers Drive area and south to city limits: No parking from midnight to 8 a.m.
General no-parking rules (year-round)
- Do not park within 5 feet of a driveway
- Do not park within 15 feet of a fire hydrant
- Do not park within 20 feet of a crosswalk or intersection
- Do not park within 30 feet of a traffic control device (like a stop sign)
- Do not park at a bus stop
- Overnight parking/camping is not allowed on city streets or at public facilities like Howelsen Hill and Stockbridge

The Silver Spur neighborhood is doing a cleanup day on Saturday. They’ll be picking up trash along Hwy 40 and County Road 42 from 9 a.m. to noon.

This is the last week for the Plein Air Art Exhibit at Steamboat Art Museum, where you can also buy the art. The museum closes at 5 p.m. Saturday and will be closed until Dec. 4. However, staff will be dressed up and handing out candy Friday night during the Halloween Stroll.
Winter Park opens for skiing and riding today. Keystone and A-Basin are already open. Steamboat is scheduled to open Nov. 22.

Remember to set your clocks back before bed on Saturday night for Daylight Savings Time. You get an extra hour this weekend.
And turn in your ballots. Election Day is this Tuesday.

The Steamboat Sailors football team is in Glenwood Springs tonight, to take on the Demons. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. and our coverage starts at 6:30 p.m. on KTYV 105.7 Sports on FM.

The Hayden Tigers are undefeated in their league, but so is West Grand. It’s a big game at 7 p.m. Friday night in Kremmling.
The Moffat County Bulldogs have a bye this weekend.
The SoRoCo girls volleyball and the football team are both away, playing against Plateau Valley tonight.
The Moffat County Girls Volleyball team has a home match against Aspen starting at 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
