Our Podcast Journey: Healing through tears, laughter and love.
This past year, our podcast has become a vital space for discussions around mental health. We covered topics like anxiety, depression, and self-care, fostering open dialogues that encourage understanding and support within our community.
As the year closed, we focused on grief, sharing heartfelt conversations with guests who opened up about their experiences. These discussions highlighted the complexities of loss while offering insights into coping strategies, reminding us all of the resilience of the human spirit.
In December we spoke with our dear friend Kelli once again, she shares her family’s healing journey over the last year and this quote, “You don’t have to choose between gratitude and grief, your allowed to hold joy in one hand and sorrow in the other.”
As the New Year begins, we wanted to share some helpful tips on how to help yourself or others with their grief journey.
The 3 “Cs” of Grief
- Choose- you must choose to reach out for help
- Connect- seek supportive relationships
- Communicate- express your feelings and needs to those around you
And the 3 “Ps”
- Pause- pray, meditate, rest
- Plan- on hard days, make a plan ahead of time with friends or family
- Patience- be gentle with yourself and honor your loved one by giving yourself grace as you heal.
From all three of us at Healing Unscripted – we wish you a new year filled with self-care for your soul, so that you may move forward with love and kindness to heal others who are also hurting.
