The 26th Annual Airline Partners Summit is today up at the Steamboat Grand. It’s hosted by Steamboat Ski & Resort Corp. Tinneal Gerber, Director of Yampa Valley Regional Airport, will speak on the expansion at the airport in Hayden. Another topic is the State of Air Service and an update from Alterra. There will also be a Steamboat Olympian panel.
The MusicFest tent is coming down in the Knoll Parking Lot up at the ski area. It should be completely removed by Friday for the weekend.
The Routt County Board of County Commissioners has a regular meeting this morning. The adoption of Routt County Community Housing Guidelines will be discussed. Agenda
Steamboat Springs City Council has a Work Session tonight. Agenda items include a presentation on the Colorado Wildfire Resiliency Code, and the Short-Term Rental Tax Fund Purchase of Deed Restriction Program. Agenda
Craig City Council meets tonight. There is first a council workshop with the Northwest Colorado Innovation Center. Then the regular meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. On the agenda, Police Chief Michael Cochran will present a Life Saving Award to School Resource Officer Sambu Shrestha. Agenda Information

Sign up today for the Diamond Hitch Parade on the last day of Winter Carnival, Sunday, Feb. 8. The diamond hitch consists of at least four skiers. The skiers hold on to points of a rope tied in the shape of one or more diamonds. All vehicles in the parade must have tracks. The link is on our website and at WinterCarnivalSteamboat.com

Also from the upcoming 113th Steamboat Springs Winter Carnival… Something new this year is Fire & Ice which is during the Winter Carnival Night Show on Saturday, Feb. 7, at the base of Howelsen Hill. Steamboat Montessori is celebrating its 10-year anniversary. The charter public school has earned a “Performance with Distinction” rating from the Colorado Charter School Institute. The honor is for schools ranked in the top 25% of public schools in the state, based on academic performance. Enrollment is open for Steamboat Montessori for the upcoming school year. A lottery will be held in February.

THE Oak Creek ice Rink is open for the season. The rink is home to the Oak Creek Kodiaks hockey program.
