Drama students at Steamboat Springs High School present the performance of “Almost, Maine,” Jan. 22-27. It’s stories about love and loss from everyday people living in a small rural community.

Sofia Straight is one of the characters, and one of the 42 students involved in the production.
“I believe people should come to the show to see just a wonderful high school romance production. It’s also a big step in SSHS to do something so small yet very advanced for our school, especially with the audience sitting on stage.”

That’s what’s called a Black Box show which has the seats and the audience watching from the stage.
The cast has 17 people with Korbin Pyles and Hadley Ellsworth as directors and Letti Walker as stage manager.
It’s an 85-minute show with a 15-minute intermission. There are eight scenes and a prologue.
The performance of “Almost, Maine” at 6 p.m. Thursday through next Tuesday, Jan. 22-27, which a special 12:30 p.m. performance on Saturday. Tickets are available online only at SteamboatSchools.net. Look for the Box Office tab. We also have a link on the Events Calendar on our website.
