The Colorado Avalanche Information Center is warning of increased avalanche danger right now, due to the recent heavy snow and high winds. An Avalanche Warning is in effect for many of the mountainous areas in Colorado including the Park Range in North Routt County through Thursday. Be especially careful in the back country. You can easily trigger large and dangerous avalanches on steeper slopes. Travel in avalanche terrain is not recommended. Check the CAIC website for current conditions.
