Steamboat Springs Police say they received a report of an armed person Thursday morning on the campus at Colorado Mountain College, which prompted a significant police response. It turned out to be local high school students playing a game called, “Senior Assassin,” where water guns are used. Officers located the teenager and determined there was not a threat to the community. Local police are asking students and families to be aware of how a realistic-looking water gun or behavior may look suspicious and cause alarm.

A reminder again from Steamboat Resort… Be aware of avalanche conditions in the back country and don’t go under ropes or in closed areas. Entering closed terrain will result in loss of pass privileges.
