Drew Barrymore attends Daytime at Night: An Evening with The Drew Barrymore Show to kick off show fifth season at Paley Center for Media in New York

Drew Barrymore’s daytime talk show will remain on the air for at least two more years, after landing a two-season renewal that extends the program through the 2027–28 television season.

The announcement was shared on the show’s official social media: “We’re so excited to announce that we’ve been renewed for not one, but TWO more seasons!” Barrymore also celebrated the news personally, writing on Instagram Stories, “I’m so grateful and so excited!”

Launched in 2020 and filmed in New York, the syndicated series blends celebrity interviews with lifestyle discussions and human-interest stories. Since its debut, the show has steadily built an audience and digital following. This season has become its most-watched yet, averaging about 1.6 million viewers per day while reaching roughly 14 million followers across social media platforms.

Executive producer Jason Kurtz credited Barrymore’s personality for the program’s appeal, stating: “Drew is the original influencer — a true trendsetter and culture-driving force who has consistently stayed ahead of the conversation. The success of this show is rooted in the fact that Drew shows up as her unfiltered, authentic self every single day, continually challenging the conventions of daytime television and reimagining what the format can be in a multiplatform world.”

Stations owned by CBS, along with outlets operated by Sinclair and Nexstar, have signed on for the new seasons. The pickup will carry the program through its seventh and eighth seasons, and it is also receiving improved time slots in several major markets, including Seattle and Minneapolis–St. Paul, as well as cities such as Cleveland, Charlotte, Baltimore, Kansas City and Cincinnati.

The show’s success arrives during a period of change in daytime television, with several other programs preparing to end their runs later this year, including The Kelly Clarkson Show and Sherri. At the same time, The Jennifer Hudson Show has also recently secured a renewal.
