
Events happening in our area this weekend…

The Yampa Valley Singers present their spring concert called “Dreams and Wishes.” The concert is at 7 p.m. Friday (April 17) and 4 p.m. Saturday (April 18) at the Heart of Steamboat United Methodist Church at 8th and Oak. Tickets are $10 from any singers, or at the Steamboat Chamber, and sold at the door if any tickets are left.

Moffat County High School Theatre presents “Anything Goes.” Show times are 6 p.m. tonight, and Saturday, with a 2 p.m. matinee on Saturday. Tickets are $8 for general admission and free for any student in the Moffat County School District. “Anything Goes” will be performed in the MCHS Auditorium.
Yampa Valley Fiberworks, north of Craig, has a workshop called New Beginnings. It’s from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday (April 18). Learn about sustainability and reusing items, with hands-on activities. There is a workshop for Beeswax Wraps, Wool Pellets, and making dryer balls. There will be an aluminum collection to benefit Moffat County Search and Rescue. Yampa Valley Fiberworks is at 41180 N. Highway 13, north of Craig in Moffat County.

Hayden is hosting a PeeWee Wrestling Tournament all day Saturday. This is for kids ages four to 14, from teams throughout Northwest Colorado. Rhonda Sweetser is the Recreation Director for the town of Hayden.
“We love pee wee wrestling and there’s going to be all kinds of kids wrestling. Please come and watch. We’d enjoy having you.”
Check-in starts at 6:30 a.m. Saturday morning. All wrestling matches are at The Hayden Center, and you’re invited to stop by and watch. There is a cost to get in, but kids 17 and under are free.
Saturday night, SoRoCo High School prom is at 8:30 p.m. It’s at the STARS Ranch in Steamboat. The theme is “A Night in Vegas.”
Steamboat Springs students and their families are headed out of town starting today as Spring Break starts next week in the Steamboat Springs School District.
In high school sports,
The Moffat County and Hayden Track and Field teams are at the Coal Ridge Invitational today, in New Castle.
The Moffat County Bulldogs baseball team has two home games against Coal Ridge Saturday. Those games are at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. and will be played on the fields at Craig Middle School.
The Moffat County Girls Soccer team has an away game at 11 a.m. on Saturday in Basalt.
