The Steamboat Springs Farmers Market starts June 6. Lisa Popovich with Main Street Steamboat Springs says volunteers are needed.
“Everything that we do at the market is all volunteer driven so we could use a lot of help on Saturdays down at the market so maybe you could join us. We’re kind of fun.”
You don’t have to volunteer every Saturday. There’s a list and you can sign up for what works for you, at MainStreetSteamboat.com

In Hayden Wednesday, Hayden Valley Middle School 6th grader Zane Haight was recognized for creating this year’s “I Voted!” sticker. He received a certificate of recognition from Routt County Clerk and Recorder Jenny Thomas.
In the presentation, Thomas said, “Voting is one of the most important ways people can have a voice and help shape the future. But every election also has something fun and memorable, the ‘I Voted’ sticker. It’s a small sticker with a big meaning. People wear it proudly because it represents participation, responsibility, and community.
This year, we asked students to help design our county’s new ‘I Voted’ sticker, and the response was incredible. We saw so much imagination, talent, and thoughtfulness from young people who care about their community.
One design stood out for its creativity, originality, and the message it represents. This student created something that thousands of voters will see and wear proudly during future elections. That’s a pretty amazing accomplishment, especially for a 6th grader.
Please join me in congratulating our winner, Zane Haight, for designing the county’s new ‘I Voted’ sticker! bCongratulations! Your artwork will now become part of our county’s elections and a reminder that every voice matters.”
