HOUR#1- Week one of the NFL season is officially in the books, and boy what it fun. I was at Mile High stadium for the BORING Broncos game, they beat the Titans in the snooze fest and I got a chance to see Cam Ward debut. Forqer and I discuss the state of the Broncos after one week, and our biggest takeaways from the game. Its also announced that the Broncos will be getting a brand new stadium, as they join the latest list of teams to follow suit with a transformation. Monday Night Football featured a great matchup between Minnesota and Chicago, with JJ McCarthy making his debut. Forqer shares his thoughts on the Bears meltdown, and we hear from Minnesota Mike.
HOUR#2- A ton of clarity in week number one of the season, the Detroit Lions looked abysmal, the Broncos were mediocre, but the game of the weekend was no doubt the Bills vs Ravens. We talk about the MVP matchup, and I tell you why the Buffalo Bills will not win the super bowl. We do a little discussion about Bryce Young and some of the other QBs that are under some pressure this year. And we wrap up the show by letting you know our favorite play of the week.
HOUR#1- One of the busier middle-of-summer episodes we have had, a heavy news day in both the NFL and NBA. We start by discussing Damian Lillard, as he returns to the Portland Trailblazers on a 3yr- 42 million dollar contract. I rant about Lillard and the fraud that he is. Gary Glick (Synergy Sports) joins us live on the show from Dallas Texas, where we talk about the pass-rusher market and the inflation, as the Pittsburgh Steelers make TJ Watt one of the highest paid players ever. We monitor the Cincy Bengals situation, and break down the NFC South a little bit.
HOUR#2- Cody Reer (SmashHitSports) joins us in the second hour for some college football talk. We discuss the national championship odds, and what quarterbacks are actually poised to potentially win it all. Cody gives us his take on Clemson and Cade Klubnik, as well as some discussion on the Big 12 and what this season may have in store for the Colorado Buffaloes. Fourker and I wrap up the show with some discussions around Bradley Beal, and his departure to the Clippers.
HOUR#1- We wrap up our post super bowl discussion still in disbelief that Sam Darnold is your champion. I share some concerning stats about Drake Maye, and we talk about how good it must feel to be Drew Lock. The Denver Nuggets are officially headed to the All star break after a really questionable win vs Memphis, Forquer shares his biggest concerns headed into the break point. A few games behing the Spurs and a few games ahead of Houston, are the Nuggets problems as big as the rest of the west? We discuss who the league MVP should be at this point, does Cade Cunningham have an argument with this 40- win Pistons? The Knicks go all in signing Jose Alvarado and Jeremy Sochan. And Cam Thomas drops 34 in his Bucks debut. A ton of NBA chatter in this opening hour.
HOUR#2- John Rein (VZP Digital) joins the show to talk about the United States first victory of the Olympics which comes at the expense of Latvia. We talk goaltenders, and discuss some of the other teams as well including Landeskog playing for team Sweden. Justin Verlander signs a deal with the Tigers, rounding out one of the greatest pitching lineups on paper we have ever seen. Is Detroit a real threat to the Dodgers? Demarco Murray leaves Oklahoma for the KC Chiefs, and where the hell is Garrett Nussmeier and Cade Klubnik? We give you our favorite nicknames in the NFL as we head into the offseason.
