HOUR#1-  A high energy Thursday edition of the LowDown tonight, as we follow a couple huge stories across the NFL.   Preseason is officially under way as well.  Speculation continues to swirl around Arch Manning, and the belief is that he will stay in college beyond this season, we discuss what could be a massive shakeup for the bottom-barrel teams. We discuss Joe Burrow and the Cincy Bengals.  Is Burrow immune to blame?  Chargers tackle Rashawn Slater is done for the season just days after signing a historic contract to make him the highest paid OL ever.  Massive news from a Chargers team with high aspirations.

HOUR#2- John Rein (VZP Digital) joins the show to discuss the massive new deal announced from ESPN.  The oh-so-popular NFL RedZone show is looking to expand, possibly to other sports.  Critics are calling it the "Biggest Day in ESPN history"  JR is here to fill us in on the details.  Forqer and I give out our official SuperBowl picks.   We go in depth on the Great Lamar Jackson, and we discuss how good he is from a historical sense.   Get our official 2025 SB picks here.

HOUR#1-  Thursday night edition of the show, our final show of January 2026.  Bo Nix and Sean Payton have a little bit of a public feud regarding Bo Nix injury.  We play the sound byte on the show, and discuss the fallout after the Broncos lost in  the AFC title.  We have some hall of fame discussion, as the bellichick conversation has been worn to death, but forquer is curious about some other players and their hall of fame probability.  Luke Wickiser (OH Report) joins the program for a busy busy segment following the hiring of Todd Monken in Cleveland.  The Steelers, Ravens and Browns all have new head coaches, we talk about it.  Davis Webb pulls his name out of the Raiders HC job opening, and we talk about which positions are the most desirable remaining.

HOUR#2-  Big game for the Nuggets tonight, as Michael Porter Jr makes his return to where it all started.  The Nets are in town and the Nuggets are 7 point favorites.  The injury bug continues to fester within Denver as it is announced that Aaron Gordon will be out 4-6 weeks a brutal blow.  Nikola Jokic still has not returned, and he is on the cusp of being ineligible for awards.  We talk about what teams have impressed us, and how lackluster the western conference has truly been. Are we overlooking a few teams in the east?  JR (VZP Digital) joins us for a great segment of hockey talk, as the Avalanche find themselves floundering a bit.  We discuss the Olympic teams, and the upcoming back to back between Colorado and Detroit.  We wrap the show up with some "First to worst" talk as we discuss the NFL teams that will take a stepback next year.

HOUR#1-  We wrap up our post super bowl discussion still in disbelief that Sam Darnold is your champion.  I share some concerning stats about Drake Maye, and we talk about how good it must feel to be Drew Lock.  The Denver Nuggets are officially headed to the All star break after a really questionable win vs Memphis, Forquer shares his biggest concerns headed into the break point.  A few games behing the Spurs and a few games ahead of Houston, are the Nuggets problems as big as the rest of the west? We discuss who the league MVP should be at this point, does Cade Cunningham have an argument with this 40- win Pistons?   The Knicks go all in signing Jose Alvarado and Jeremy Sochan.  And Cam Thomas drops 34 in his Bucks debut.  A ton of NBA chatter in this opening hour.

HOUR#2- John Rein (VZP Digital) joins the show to talk about the United States first victory of the Olympics which comes at the expense of Latvia.  We talk goaltenders, and discuss some of the other teams as well including Landeskog playing for team Sweden.  Justin Verlander signs a deal with the Tigers, rounding out one of the greatest pitching lineups on paper we have ever seen.  Is Detroit a real threat to the Dodgers?  Kathy Elliot joins the show to talk about Ole Miss QB Trinidad Chambliss and his 6th year of eligibility.  The Rebels QB is coming back.  Demarco Murray leaves Oklahoma for the KC Chiefs, and where the hell is Garrett Nussmeier and Cade Klubnik?  We give you our favorite nicknames in the NFL as we head into the offseason.  Action packed show on this Thursday night edition of The Lowdown.
