The Colorado Primary results are in, still unofficial, but here is what has been reported as of late Tuesday night, in those matchups that were contested in the primary.
For Governor, current governor Jared Polis is on the ballot for the Democratic Party. His Republican candidate will be Heidi Ganahl.
For United States Senator, Michael Bennet ran unopposed for the Democratic Party. His opponent on the Republican ticket will be Joe O’Dea.
In United States Congressional District 3, which includes Moffat and Rio Blanco counties, for the Republicans, Lauren Boebert easily defeated her primary opponent, Don Coram. For the Democrats, Adam Frisch of Aspen edged out Sol Sandoval of Pueblo.
For Secretary of State, Jena Griswold is the Democratic incumbent. Her opponent on the Republican side will be Pam Anderson of Jefferson County. Tina Peters of Mesa County was in that primary. Peters won in Moffat, but she finished last overall in the state in the primary. Secretary of State Republican Primary Results
In the Colorado State Senate category, in District 8, Republican Matt Solomon of Eagle is running against Democrat Dylan Roberts of Avon who grew up in Steamboat Springs. Both of those primaries were uncontested. They’ll face off in November.
In Colorado House District 26, the Republican on the ticket will be Savannah Wolfson of Oak Creek. She beat Glenn Lowe III of Eagle. Her opponent is Meghan Lukens of Steamboat Springs who ran uncontested on the Democratic ticket.
In House District 57, Perry Will is the Republican on the ticket. He ran uncontested in the primary and because of re-districting, House District 57 no longer includes Moffat and Rio Blanco counties. House District 57 now includes Garfield County, along with Pitkin and part of Eagle County. Perry Will’s opponent will be Elizabeth Velasco.
Once again… results from the Colorado Primary Election… unofficial from late Tuesday night.

In an update on the Rainbow Gathering in northwest Routt County, the U.S. Forest Service estimates 2,500 people there as of Tuesday. That’s of the 10,000 expected for the main gathering July 1-7. Thor is a ski instructor from the Tahoe area. He says the big event is a prayer for World Peace on July 4th.
Thor also says the group supports the local communities.
From Steamboat Police, Interim Commander David Pearson says there have been no arrests in Steamboat associated with the Rainbow Gathering, but they have had some increased road traffic. Craig Police Chief Mike Cochran also says they have had no arrests with the “Rainbow folks.”
