Northwest Colorado Health looking for volunteers
Northwest Colorado Health is seeking community members to join our volunteer team. Volunteers are a vital part of our effort to improve health and quality of life for all Northwest Colorado residents. We have a variety of rewarding roles in Routt and Moffat counties available, and we currently have a specific need for volunteers in Moffat County, as well as bilingual English/Spanish volunteers in either county. Opportunities include: Hospice Volunteers – provide comfort and support to Hospice patients (direct service), or support Hospice families by running errands, cooking meals or assisting with other tasks (indirect service); The Haven Assisted Living Volunteers – share a talent or skill with residents in Hayden; and Event Volunteers – support fundraising events by helping to sell and deliver Hospice Daffodils in the spring or assist with the Rubber Ducky Race for Hospice in the summer/fall. We welcome volunteers of all ages and backgrounds and will tailor positions to your unique skills, availability and experience. Hospice certification training is required for individuals interested in working directly with Hospice patients; the next training for these volunteer roles will be held in early May. For more information about joining our Volunteer Team, please contact Kyleigh Lawler at 970-871-7609 or klawler@northwestcolcoloradohealth.org.
