A group called Operation Veteran Strong has been visiting Northwest Colorado communities to reach out to veterans and tell them about free resources that are available.
Frank Lahtinen is a Marine Corp Veteran and Vice President for Operation Veteran Strong.
“It’s important that we’re up in Northwest Colorado to reach out to the rural veteran community. We’re being sponsored by the Veteran Administration as well the Colorado Public Health Department to try and help end the suicide rate in the rural parts of Colorado and that’s why we’re here.”
