Someone has stolen three construction signs in Hayden. It happened from the intersection of 4th and Lincoln and the 100 block of North 5th.
“One was a traditional orange diamond shape sign. There was a smaller that just kind of had an arrow and a detour and then there was a white sign that said Road Closed.”
That’s Police Chief Scott Scurlock would like you help with any leads, especially if you have security cameras which might have seen the thief or thieves.
“We’ve got a theory that it’s either one of two people. Either kids that are playing a prank or somebody who wants these for their man cave. Or maybe someone who doesn’t really know the value of these things and are just trying to scrap them for not very much money.”
The signs were stolen in Hayden between Saturday afternoon and Monday morning. Reach out to Hayden Police if you have any leads.

Steamboat Springs City Council meets at 5 p.m. tonight. A community report on the use of Emerald Park is on the agenda.
Thirteen new bus drivers are behind the wheel of the Steamboat Springs Transit buses. They join a staff of 42 bus drivers. Transit Manager Jonathan Flint says the city is now fully staffed, thanks to a good recruiting team.
“Not only have I seen they’re good drivers, but also they’re just great people. It’s just a really good group so I’m very excited for this year.”
The new bus drivers had five weeks of training and now they have their Commercial Drivers Licenses.
The Winter Bus Schedule goes into effect this Saturday, Nov. 25.

Students in Moffat County, Steamboat Springs and Hayden schools are off this week for Thanksgiving break. Tuesday is the last day for kids in Soroco.
Kids and staff in the Hayden Valley District made a lip-dub video on the last day before break. It was to the song ROAR by Katy Perry. They did it in one take. Here’s more on where Hayden Middle School Principal Vicki Blomquist got the idea.
“I used to work in Moffat County, and my children went through Moffat County schools and I had a high schooler who was involved in Moffat County lip-dubs. Loved those. I remember the excitement around those. When I came here and became an administrator, I said I want to recreate that excitement in our school. It’s happening this year, and it’s crazy and it’s wonderful and I’m really excited.”
All of the schools and teams were involved in the one big long camera shot to the video, whether lip-syncing, or smiling, dancing or cheering. You can watch the Happy Hayden Tiger production with the link below. The Steamboat Radio Facebook page has a lot more pictures.
