Kate Nowak is retiring as Executive Director of United Way of the Yampa Valley. She has been with the local United Way for 11 years.
“I’m just very excited about this new stage in life, and I feel that the last 11 years have been my heart and soul into the community and I now that United Way will continue to be in good hands moving forward.”
Nowak is retiring September 3. United Way of the Yampa Valley will be posting for her replacement starting March 18. It will be a national search for a new director.
Nowak was Executive Director of Routt County United Way, which then merged with United Way of Moffat County of Sept. 1, 2023. It’s now United Way of the Yampa Valley.
Nowak is also the 2023 Hazie Werner Award winner. Nowak has been serving the Steamboat Springs community for 25 years. She will continue living in the community.
