Here’s more on what’s happening at Steamboat Resort this summer.
Open Friday/Saturday/Sunday May 24-June 9 and Sept. 6-29. (and Memorial Day) Ride the Steamboat Gondola, hike on the trails, dine and shop in Steamboat Square.
Daily Operations and the Bike Park open on June 14 through Sept. 2. Ride Christie Peak Express, enjoy the Steamboat Bike Park, mountain biking, hiking, concerts and family activities. Free for Ikon passholders.
Sunset Happy Hour is most Thursdays and Sundays, starting May 26. 5-8 p.m. FREE for Ikon Pass holders, and Bike Pass Holders and Summer Gondola Pass holders. Cost for non-pass holders is $30 for those five years and older. Those four and under are free.
Stranahan’s Summer Concert Series is on Fridays June 28-Aug. 16. Shows begin at 5:30 p.m. with the headliners taking the stage at 7 p.m.
- June 28 is Sweet Lillies — A hard hitting original flavor with a forward-looking eye.
- July 4 is John Pappa Gros from New Orleans –A funk, jazz, brass band with the blues.
- July 19 is Boom Box — Electronic Rock Duo.
- July 26 is Pink Talking Fush — Tribute Fusion Act that takes the music from three of the world’s most beloved bands and creates a special treat for fans of the music.
- Aug. 2 is Diggin’ Dirt — A Hybrid Tribute Fusion Act that takes the music from three of the world’s most beloved bands and creates a special treat for fans of the music:
Pink Floyd, The Talking Heads and Phish. - Aug. 16 — Mama Magnolia — Soul/Rock.
4th of July BASH has fun for the whole family from 3-10 p.m. culminating in a Stranahan’s Free Concert featuring Papa John Gros on the Steamboat Stage. The grand finale of the evening is a drone show.
Coca-Cola Movies on the Mountain returns with six family friendly movies on Saturday nights, June 22-August 10.
