Another calf has been killed by a wolf or wolves in Jackson County. It happened on Sunday and it has been confirmed by Colorado Parks and Wildlife. They have not released any other details. Confirmed Wolf Depredation Information Document
Craig City Council meets at 6:30 p.m. tonight. One agenda item is a resolution to get the funds for an emergency boiler for the pool in Craig. Craig Police will report on the month of May.
Steamboat Springs City Council has a work session tonight. Three agenda items include updates on Wildfire Mitigation and the Destination Stewardship Program, and also a report on Bear Awareness from Christy Bubenheim with Keep Bears Wild – Steamboat. Agenda link
In Moffat County, please turn in damaged or unserviceable flags to the local VFW before noon this Saturday. Members of the VFW will be respectfully retiring them.
Local restaurants are supporting the Yampa Ripple Effect. It’s where you can round-up to the next dollar and that extra money goes to support and protect the Yampa River. Piknik Theatre is hosting theatre summer camps for children ages 6 and up, and scholarships are available. A Comedy & Tragedy camp is for kids ages 9-18 years, June 17-28. A Silly Shakespeare camp is for ages six to nine, July 22-26. Camps will be held at the Steamboat Springs Middle School and will be taught by professional actors and educators from New York and Denver. Register online.
