Colorado Crane Conservation Coalition Co-founder Nancy Merrill to be honored with the Rich G. Levad Award
CCCC is proud to announce that Nancy Merrill is the 2024 recipient of the Bird Conservancy of the Rockies’ Rich G. Levad Award.
This award recognizes individuals who support the organization’s mission of conserving birds and their habitats through science, education, and land stewardship. Since 2005, the award has been presented to people who, like Rich, have gone above and beyond to provide distinguished service to the ornithological community.
The Levad award honors professional and volunteer researchers, community science leaders, educators, and land stewards working in the Great Plains, Intermountain West or Northern Mexico.
This recognition is a testament to the impact that Nancy and the CCCC have had in conserving and building awareness for the Greater Sandhill Crane in the Yampa Valley and beyond.
The award will be presented at A Night for the Birds, Friday, Oct. 18, 6-9 p.m.
