UCHealth Yampa Valley Medical President Soniya Fidler says the Creek’s End is life-changing.
“It’s life-changing for the 69 adults and children that are going to live here in the next few weeks and the 34 pets that they’re going to bring along with them. But ultimately, it’s allowing us to deliver on a mission of we improve lives. And it’s not just delivering on the lives of our patients because we have the talented and skilled workforce to provide that care. But it is also just life-changing to be able to improve lives for our employees and our workforce.”
Local developers of the project, Curt Weiss and Scott Marr with Evergreen 40, LLC, called the local hospital to see if they’d be interested in one or two units in the new building, when it was being built. UCHealth decided to buy the entire building as an investment in the Steamboat Springs community, for nearly $30 million. HLCC Construction built the property. It was designed by Eric Smith Associates.
