Nonprofits from Moffat County and the Yampa Valley gathered in Craig today to celebrate the 11th year of Yampa Valley Gives Day.
“Yampa Valley Gives is an incredible program. We’re now in our 11th year. It brings together the community to give to all of the important organizations that are doing incredible work in the Yampa Valley.”
That’s Holly Wilson with Yampa Valley Community Foundation. She told the nonprofits gathered in Moffat County today that their work matters and it changes lives.
Craig Mayor Chris Nichols also spoke about the importance of funding. He added, “Many of you provide the services that bring us together as a community. Thank you for doing it.”
The Yampa Valley Gives program raised $1.3 million for local nonprofits last year and nonprofits are raising awareness for that to happen again this year. Yampa Valley Gives Day is next Tuesday, Dec. 10. Donations can be made now to any of the over 100 nonprofits participating through YVGives.org
