The 2026 Colorado High School Track & Field State Championships were held over the weekend at Jefferson County Stadium in Lakewood.
Coaches for the Steamboat Springs High School Track & Field team shared some pictures and results from the weekend. Here are the pictures that were provided with links to results below.

Steamboat’s 4×400 meter relay team of Carly Pappas, Gracey Keller, Whitney Warnke, and Ayla Oslowski finished 5th overall at the state championships. They beat their own SSHS school record by seven seconds which automatically qualified them for the finals. That new record time was 3:57.83.


Senior Janie Gonzales finished 6th in the 4A discuss with a throw of 118.2.

Sophomore Della Cunningham finished 9th overall in the High Jump.
Kai Rochon finished 11th overall in the Triple Jump.
Junior Tig Loomis was 12th overall in the Triple Jump.

Sophomore Emerald Weber represented Steamboat in the 300 meter hurdles, running just .03 seconds off a school record and placing 13th in 47.20.

The 4×200 meter Girls team placed 15th, running just a tenth of a second off of the SSHS School Record. Those on the relay are Antigone Loomis, Gracey, Keller, Georgeanne Sibson, and Carly Pappas.
The 4×800 meter relay finished 13th, with Evie Fisher, Emerald Weber, Ayla Oslowski, and Whit Warnke.

In the Special Paralympics, Junior Aeden Naused had four top ten finishes. Freshman Hudson Powell also competed in his first Track and Field Special Olympics competition.
