Residents of Northwest Colorado are being asked to participate in a community-wide survey on mental and behavioral health. It’s for those who live and/or work in Moffat and Routt counties. It asks about community connections, quality of life, and health needs related to mental health and alcohol use.

The survey is being conducted through Yampa Valley Community Foundation and other local agencies. The online survey is available through February. There will also be 400 phone surveys, so you may get a phone call.

The Milner Mall at Apex Waste Solutions’ landfill is offering free shopping if you bring in a food donation to LiftUp of Routt County. It’s a one-for-one offer. Every food item donated gets you one mall item for free.

From Community Recycling Coordinator Alicia Archibald: “This is meeting two needs – getting food to the food bank for people in need, and clearing out the Milner Mall before the snow falls and ruins everything, thus potentially ending up in the landfill.”

The Milner Mall is open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday, at 20650 County Road 205. Call first to make an appointment to shop. The number is 970-879-6985.
