Seniors at Soroco High School gathered to make some decisions Tuesday. It is Senior College Application Day, but not all seniors have plans for college when they graduate next year.
Staff worked with the 34 Ram Seniors to help pick their pathway. Jeannie Jo Logan is the academic advisor for Soroco High School.
“I think it’s important because we need to celebrate our students’ successes. This is their journey and we have just invested four years of our lives for their lives. Whatever path they choose to go on, we’re here to make sure they’re successful.”
Logan says the district calls it the Three Es: Enlistment, Employment, or Enrollment. Some students have jobs lined up for when they graduate.
Others submitted the Common App to apply for college because it’s free to apply right now. Seniors statewide can submit college applications for free, through Thursday, for any college in Colorado.
Teachers and staff in the Soroco School District also wore team gear from their favorite colleges or alma mater.
