Please see the following Guest Column/Letter from former Steamboat Springs City Manager Gary Suiter.
To the Steamboat Springs Community:
It was with very mixed feelings that we moved to the Front Range, seeking closer proximity to family and friends, more specialized medical facilities, and warmer weather. By doing so we left behind a mix of friends and colleagues, all of whom contributed to my success as your former City Manager. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed living in Steamboat Springs for the past 9+ years, taking part in the many special events and recreational activities available to us all. We loved living there.
There are too many folks to thank individually (you know who you are!) and I am compelled to mention past and present City Council members, the city’s leadership team and talented city employees, leaders of the other local governments (county, schools, other cities, special districts), leaders of the many amazing non-profits and private businesses, and, of course, the citizens in the community who were always gracious, kind, and supportive. I am confident the community is on a positive track to address the pressing issues and would like to express my thanks to each of you. Best wishes moving forward and taking care of this special place!
Sincerely,
Gary and Fran Suiter
