The Routt County Board of County Commissioners meets this morning. The Routt County Board of Health is on the agenda.

Tinneal Gerber from Yampa Valley Regional Airport also has an update. Commissioners will consider the appointment of Lindsey Peterson to the Historic Preservation Board. Tiffany Leeson will be considered to be appointed to the Museum and Heritage Fund Advisory Board. Commissioners will hear second reading of an ordinance to ban open fires.

Agenda

 

The Moffat County Board of County Commissioners meets today. Reports include Todd Wheeler with the Office of Emergency Management and County Attorney Max Salazar about a Fire Restriction Ordinance. Rachel Bower is reporting from Human Resources. Neil Binder is on the agenda from the Office of Development Services.

 

Steamboat Springs City Council has a work session at 5 p.m. tonight. One agenda item is on Steamboat Springs Transit Winter Service options for next year.

Craig City Council has a workshop at 5:30 p.m. tonight. The agenda item is an update on the Industrial Business Park. The regular Craig City Council meeting follows at 6:30 p.m.

Craig Police Chief Michael Cochran is presenting Citizen Lifesaving Awards to Lauren Hill, Misty Newell, and Melissa Peterson. Chief Cochran is also presenting a Lifesaving Award to Sergeant Dalton Caudell. Water and Wastewater Director Carl Ray will also present for discussion and approval an ordinance about the City of Craig adopting watering restrictions for water conservation.

  

Steamboat Springs Police School Resource Officer Lisa Eifling (pictured with SSHS AD Luke DeWolfe) was on duty for Steamboat Springs High School Prom Saturday night at Steamboat Resort. Eifling was so impressed and proud, that she wrote a letter to all students, letting them know how such considers herself to be “so lucky,” to be the SSHS School Resource Officer, adding, “Keep being kind. Keep making smart choices. And never forget how proud this community is of you.” That letter is on the link below.

Wednesday morning is Coffee with Cops. Steamboat Springs Police invites all to Dusky Grouse Coffee, from 8-10 a.m. on Mid Valley Drive. No agendas. Just good conversation, good company, and good coffee.

 

In sports, the Steamboat Sailors Girls Lacrosse team lost their CHSAA State Playoff game Monday night to Evergreen, 2-19.
