Sales tax numbers for April were exponentially higher than the year before. The City of Steamboat Springs reports numbers this April were up 71.70% higher than April of 2020. That’s an increase of $744,689. The big change is because of the loss of sales tax revenues from the ski area closing early in 2020, and the restrictions on short-term accommodations.
