Three more head of livestock have been killed by a wolf in Jackson County, according to rancher Brian Anderson. This time it’s three sheep.
“We went out there and found some sheep that were not alive.”
Colorado Parks and Wildlife officers did necropsies and told Anderson it was a wolf.
“Nobody likes to lose livestock but it’s the game that we have to prepare for with the reintroduction.”
The Anderson Ranch is in the middle of Jackson County.

If you have a P.O. Box in Steamboat Springs, you will be getting a 1093 form in your box to fill out. It might be there already. Fill this out with two forms of identification and the U.S. Postal Service will then determine which of the 7,053 local box holders have to keep paying for a P.O. Box if they have no other way to get their mail. James Boxrud is with the corporate office out of Denver.
“We’re trying to determine where you live and then we’ll be able to determine from there whether you get delivery or if you are eligible for the Group E box which is a free box.”
Boxrud expects the forms to be processed early next year. If you have no way to get your mail, you won’t have to pay for your box anymore, and you could get up to two years of a refund.

The post office in Craig is also having delivery problems. Social media posts are showing that it is taking a very long time for residents to get their mail. James Boxrud says the corporate office is aware of the problem.
“So up in Craig, Colorado, we’re going to borrow people from around the states. We have a couple of people coming from Colorado Springs and I’m not sure from where else. But they’re coming up to Craig to go ahead and get them caught up, to get them some stability. And those people will be there through the Christmas period, through the peak season.”
Boxrud also says to stop by the post office if you’re looking for work.
